What is a MUSSD-approved scale, and how is it different?
MUSSD stands for the Measurement Units, Standards and Services Department, Sri Lanka’s authority for measurement standards and legal control of trade measurements.
A MUSSD-approved model has received pattern approval for its intended trade use. If you buy or sell goods by weight, the scale must also have the required current verification and stamp.
A non-approved scale has no such trade approval. It may suit home use or internal checks where that approval is not required, but should not be used to determine a sale price by weight.

What’s the difference between label-printing and bill-printing scales?
The main difference is what the printout is used for: identifying a packaged product or giving a customer a receipt.
Typically prints a self-adhesive label with a barcode. Supported details can include product name, gross weight, unit price, total price, company name, date, time, ingredients, manufacturing date, expiry date and other required information.
Prints a receipt or ticket. Supported details can include store name, logo, time, date, product name, weight and other required parameters. This suits counter sales where a customer needs a bill.
Print fields, barcode features and supported paper types vary by model and setup. Some models support both formats; tell us your requirements so we can confirm compatibility.

What do capacity and division mean?
Capacity is the maximum load the scale is rated to weigh. Division, or readability, is the step between displayed weight values.
A smaller division helps you read smaller changes, but does not by itself guarantee accuracy. Choose a scale suited to both your usual loads and the precision your work requires.
Do you provide installation and after-sales support?
Yes. We provide professional installation and after-sales assistance for our weighing solutions.

Can I request a custom platform scale or weighbridge?

Our standard weighbridges are available in 20T, 40T, 60T, 80T and 100T. Custom configurations range from 10T to 100T, with a fixed 3 m platform width and length based on your requirements.
